My system drive failed on my WHS v1, so I pulled it out, put in a blank drive, and ran the system recovery. Once the recovery was complete, I had a 20gb SYS partition on the drive but no DATA partition. So I pulled the drive out, put it in my desktop alongside the old failing drive, and ghosted the older drive's DATA partition onto its empty space. I returned the new drive to the WHS, booted from it, and completed the HP MediaSmart initial setup. Once this was completed, the DriveExtender magic spell had been cast my restored server had its traditional C:\ and D:\ drives with all of my D:\ data intact. I have since learned that if you bypass using the network shares to put data on the drives, the data files get flagged as "system" files in the pie chart. Since I ghosted about 800 GB of data from my old drive, I'm thinking this is why my system pie chart size is around 806 GB. So the question is this: how do I get the WHS to reflag my data files that are contributing to the system pie chart? I'd like to reduce the system...
